MANILA, PHILIPPINES — VML Manila celebrated an outstanding achievement at The Philippine Kidlat Awards, being named 2024 Agency of the Year. The agency showcased its dominance at the country’s premier creative show by securing an impressive haul of awards: one Grand Prix, five Golds, six Silvers, six Bronzes, and three additional shortlists across several categories. Furthermore, the agency won the KBP’s Radio Ad of the Year.
The standout work included campaigns for some of the nation’s largest advertisers, such as Nestlé and McDonald’s. Notably, VML Manila’s “Punctuation Breaks” campaign for KitKat received high praise, having already garnered international accolades, which the Kidlat jury echoed.
Other celebrated projects from VML Manila included the KitKat “Kathniel” social effort, and McDonald’s “I’m Lovin’ Me” self-affirmation powered deals, earning silver and bronze respectively.
Golda Roldan, CEO of VML Manila, shared her excitement, “I’m speechless! This was a long-held dream for the company, and it’s a testament to our continued commitment towards Creative Bravery.” Joe Dy, CCO, remarked, “It’s always rewarding to see the teams and clients receive the recognition for the work they champion, and even more so when the entire agency gets to shine like this.”
The event also highlighted Maan Bautista, VML Manila’s multi-awarded ECD, who was inducted into the Creative Guild Hall of Fame. Maan humorously noted, “I’m good with pitches, not so much with speeches,” and reminded the audience that great work often results from a mix of toughness and kindness. She encouraged her fellow Filipinos to continue showcasing exceptional creativity on the global stage.
